I’m a product leader, builder, and writer working where people, business, and AI meet. I connect strategy with the decisions and delivery that bring it to life.

PRODUCT MANAGER, AI & INNOVATION
At Ameritas, I lead product work that connects enterprise AI strategy with the tools, workflows, and skills people need to use it.
Working with business and technology partners, I help set platform direction, identify practical applications, and support adoption within an established AI governance structure.

Bring business processes, organizational knowledge, and human oversight into the design of AI-enabled workflows.
Lead hands-on working sessions that help teams understand AI, identify useful applications, and put ideas into practice.
My experience spans product and engagement, original product development, and team leadership. The connection is understanding people well enough to build something useful.
My role covered product and engagement for an employee recognition and communication platform, including its use in healthcare workplaces.

Read our origin story ↓Start with a real problem. Make the tradeoffs clear. Give people ownership. Test the assumptions. Measure what changes.
For AI, that means choosing useful applications, checking their limits, and helping people adopt them. Building with AI has made those questions concrete for me.
Original products are part of my practice: a way to turn a problem into a clear use case, make decisions, and learn through delivery.
A simple signal.
A working product.
AI applied to the human side of team building.
It started with a garage sale.
Our family had a decision to make: what should we do with the proceeds? The kids made presentations. The idea that won was to create our own company.
We rented a meeting room at a hotel and worked through ideas together. That session became FamilyTable: a product to help families connect the food they have with what to cook and what to buy.
Everyone took on a role, including social media, design, and product. I’m building it alongside my family, with shared ownership of the idea and the work.
WRITING BY CRAIG SPILKER
Two things can be true.
Both/And is where I follow a question past the easy answer. People, technology, culture, and the places our assumptions stop working.
I write about competing ideas and the choices they create. That habit also shapes how I approach leadership, innovation, and AI.

The work is still about people.
I’ve coached baseball in Germany, worked on employee recognition, and hosted conversations about people’s lives and ideas.
That experience shapes how I build, how I lead, and the questions I bring into a room.
